The UKW Arena is open for training sessions to adults and Juniors on the following days and times.
Monday’s 6:30pm – 8:30pm
Wednesday’s 6pm – 8pm
Saturday Morning’s 10am – 12pm
Where are you located?
The UKW Arena is located at 22 Branch Road, Batley, West Yorkshire, WF17 5RY. Notable landmarks include the Batley Bus Station, Asda, and the Tesco Superstore.
What bus do I need to get to the UKW Arena?
From Wakefield Bus Station to Batley Bus station;

How much are the training sessions?
Anyone over the age of 16, its £10 per session, Juniors under 10 is £6, over 10 is £7

What are your monthly payment terms?
For adults, we offer a monthly Direct Debit of £80, this option allows you to train at any number of sessions throughout the week/month, giving a saving of almost £50, for two sessions a week the cost is £50 per month and for Juniors we have a monthly option of £40 which also allows unlimited sessions per week/month.
Is it possible to just turn up to sessions?
Yes, you are more than welcome to just arrive at the Arena at the given training times, if it’s your first time, you will have to fill in a couple of sign up forms before you are able to participate.
Can I pay on arrival?
Yes, payment can be made via cash or card, or through the app using paypal.
What age do I have to be to participate in the sessions?
Juniors can begin training from 6 years old.
Do we train in a Wrestling Ring?
Yes, UK Wrestling has one of, if not the only 20ft x 20ft WWE Style rings within the UK, we also have a further 3 rings available, a 16ft x 16ft, 13ft x 13ft and 12ft x 12ft.
What do I need to wear?
We recommend comfortable clothing, shorts/joggy bottoms, t-shirt, or jumper.
Do I need any specialist gear to train?
For new starters, you do not need anything particular, we would recommend a set of knee and elbow pads to protect yourself while learning to fall, break falls are one of the most important parts of keeping yourself safe within the ring so it’s something we do a lot of during the sessions.
What do we do in lessons?
The UK Wrestling training sessions cover all aspects of professional wrestling; including
Warm up/stretch off/fitness with our designated gym coach (also available for dietary training tips)
- Basics – includes Learning to fall safely, ring awareness
- Technical
- Power
- High Flying
- Strikes
- Psychology – Includes how to do Promos, Character development etc.

Do you do a New Starter class?
We understand everyone’s schedules differ, with this in mind any session is suitable as the classes are split into groups if needed, however, our Monday session is our primary new starter/beginner/basics night.
Will I be able to participate in Live events?
Many of the wrestlers featured on UK Wrestling programming have come through the UK Wrestling Academy, so any new trainee joining our sessions has the chance to eventually appear on our events.
Where can I watch UK Wrestling?
UK Wrestling events can be watched Live on PPV through the UK Wrestling App or on www.ukwrestling.tv, Showdown & Ignite can be watched every week on our YouTube Channel, on demand through the Sports Channel Network available on Freeview and YouView Channel 265.
Are your staff DBS checked?
Yes, every member of our staff and coaches are DBS checked.
Is the UKW Arena available to hire?
